The Ralston House was founded in 1990 as a non-profit that provides a safe place for child and teen survivors of abuse. The Ralston House offers these children and teens a comforting place to tell their stories and begin the healing process. The Ralston House receives referrals from law enforcement, social services and the district attorney’s office, and works in conjunction with these entities to provide forensic interviews and medical examinations.
The purpose of National Child Abuse Prevention Month is to recognize the importance of families and communities working together to prevent child abuse and neglect and promotes the social and emotional well-being of children and families. During the month of April and throughout the year, communities are encouraged to increase awareness and provide education and support to families through resources and strategies to prevent child abuse and neglect.
We are so appreciative of all the amazing things the Ralston House does to help children and teens in the Colorado community. In addition to displaying a blue pinwheel garden in front of our office, we will be selling the pinwheels at our office for $5. The additional proceeds go back to the Ralston House to help them continue supporting children and teens in need. Please help us support Ralston House this month by purchasing a pinwheel or making a donation to their organization.
