Movement is very important to our team at RSS, which is why we’ve teamed up with Jefferson Center for Mental Health to support their challenge, “On the Move for Mental Health.”

Jefferson Center is a nonprofit, community-focused mental health care, wellness, and substance use services provider. Serving our community is at the core of everything they do. As a community mental health center for the past 60+ years, they care about the health of our community members and are proud to launch this new, inclusive activity challenge. Jefferson Center offers a full range of mental health, substance use disorder, and wraparound resources to support the whole health of the members of our community. Their staff is dedicated to understanding the unique needs of each family and works to build on each family’s natural strengths and supports.

On the Move for Mental Health is Jefferson Center’s first-ever virtual activity challenge and will take place throughout May in recognition of Mental Health Awareness month.

Throughout the challenge, participants will record their hours of exercise and track miles in support of mental health! Whether you enjoy running, walking, biking, swimming, yoga, meditation, or any other wellness activity, you can join the challenge and help raise funds for Jefferson Center services while getting in a great workout.

Registration is FREE and you’ll win prizes as you complete fundraising milestones and special prizes will go to the top three fundraising individuals and teams. You will also receive online recognition as you complete activity milestones and the top three individuals and teams with the most activity will win medals!

Don’t want to join the activity challenge but still want to support the cause? For an entry-level donation of $25, you can join the Cheering Section and still help raise funds for mental health.
