We had the privilege of volunteering again with A Precious Child on Nov. 20th. We closed our office early and assembled a team of 15 people who gladly served at their Resource Center in Broomfield. After touring their facility, they put us to work as their FIRST volunteer team assembling their Holiday Precious Gift Toy Store.

We put together all the shelving in their resource center that will hold all the donated toys this season for their toy store.  After we completed this task, we then unloaded and arranged 13 pallets of toys into the store. All while Christmas music was playing of course!

A Precious Child collects donated new toys, gift cards and gifts for children (babies through teenagers) in the most need in the community. Gifts are distributed to children through our Resource Center as well as their agency partners.

During the holidays, A Precious Child relies on support from individuals, companies, churches and other organizations to ensure that each child is sponsored and receives something special during the holidays.

With more than 166,000 children living in poverty in Colorado, it is no surprise that families struggle to provide Christmas gifts for their children. The simple act of celebrating each and every child, despite their circumstances is what the Precious Gift program is all about.

Providing a gift to a child in need during celebratory life events allows them to experience the joys of childhood, give them hope for the future, as well as experiencing a sense of normalcy during a time in their life that is anything but normal.

How can you help?

There are many ways to help A Precious Child with their A Precious Gift program this holiday season.  You can simply contact them directly and sign up to volunteer at either their resource center or at one of their locations in the community promoting their gift program through sponsoring a child’s gifts.

You can also donate new, unwrapped toys by donating to our RSS Toy Drive (click HERE for more information), or by dropping toys off directly at A Precious Child, or at one of their public drop off locations.
