Several members of our team has the pleasure of volunteering with Project Angel Heart this week. Our team will be supporting Project Angel Heart through our Charity of the Quarter Referral Program through March of 2021.

Project Angel Heart was founded in 1991 to address a major challenge for Coloradans who are ill: getting the nutrition they need to get stronger, heal, and remain at home. Many are too sick to get to the grocery store or unable to cook for themselves. Others find they have to choose whether to buy food or medication to make ends meet. That’s why Project Angel Heart prepares and delivers medically tailored meals to people living with life-threatening illnesses. Each week, their professional chefs and registered dietitian prepare thousands of delicious meals, from scratch, and tailor them to meet the medical and dietary needs of those who are ill.

Due to covid-19 precautions only six members of our team were able to volunteer this year, however, Project Angel Heart will be increasing the number of volunteers allowed in their kitchen in the near future.

During our volunteer shift we packed 812 Meal Enhancement bags for Project Angel Heart. These bags will accompany medically-tailored meals being delivered to those with life threatening illnesses in our community this week.

The work Project Angel Heart does for those struggling with illness in our community is incredible, and we are honored to support them!
