Communication: the imparting or exchanging of information or news.

At RSS we believe relationships are very important. In fact, most experts would agree that communication is the key to a healthy, growing relationship. In order to get to know someone, whether it be a new friend, family member, coworker, or potential boyfriend/girlfriend, you need to talk to them, learn about them and spend time with them. Once you’re familiar with them, you continue to strengthen the relationship by staying in contact, sharing stories, and continuing to learn about each other.
We believe that our relationship with our customers should be no different. In order for you to feel comfortable with our RSS team and for us to gain your trust, you need to get to know us. Yes, we’re a business providing services and products to our clients, but more importantly, we’re 18 different people with stories, interests, passions, and personalities, advising and helping our clients with the purchase of a crucially important financial product that every person needs in order to protect their family and financial future.
RSS2015CollageSo, why do we tell you what we tell you? We write, post, tweet, pin, update and share information about ourselves, our agency and insurance for three primary reasons. We’d like to share with you the “why” and “what” behind our communication with our clients, community and beyond.

  1. We tell you about what’s important to us (so you can get to know us better). We like to let you know about what we’re doing and what we’re supporting. For example, we support our local community and beyond in order to better the lives of others through involvement in local and national charities and organizations. Our values motivate us to want to share what we have with others in an effort to improve lives and better the world. On a fairly regular basis you’ll get updates from us to let you know what’s new and how you can be involved if you’d like.
  2. We tell you who we are individually (so you can get to know us better). Sometimes we’ll share about the team at RSS through agent or employee spotlights, fun photos, and inspirational quotes that we like, or even sometimes insurance jokes. We think we have a fun group of people on our team and we’d love for our clients to have a chance to get to know them better.
  3. We share important or helpful insurance information or tips. Of course we share pertinent information about insurance news, coverages, policies, or helpful tips to protect what’s important to you. We convey this information to help and to advise our clients. When there’s important or helpful information for our customers to be aware of, we will share it.

We’ve created numerous ways for our clients to stay connected with us and for RSS to communicate in return. If you do not currently subscribe to our monthly e-newsletter, please contact us and we will add you to our list. You can also stay updated with us through our blog, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+.
In short, just as with any relationship, we want to continue to grow and strengthen our relationships with our customers for many, many years to come. We don’t know what the insurance market or consumer needs will look like in 10, 20, or even 30 years, but it is our hope that our customers will continue to depend on and trust our agency with their insurance needs and advice for many years into the future.
