We are thrilled to welcome Mary Policky to the RSS team as an Employee Benefits & Risk Management Specialist!
Mary is brand new to Colorado having moved here from California just a few days ago, however, she is familiar with our great state as she lived here for a few years in the late 90’s and started her insurance career here.
Mary grew up in Nebraska and attended the University of Nebraska at Kearny with a focus on Psychology. She is the oldest of 4 kids, and although she doesn’t have any kids of her own, she is the proud Auntie of 13 nieces and nephews.
Throughout Mary’s career in risk management and employee benefits, she has worked with many industries, including startups, entertainment, non-profits, high-net worth individuals, and both small and large corporations.
Mary prides herself on creativity, thinking outside of the box, and finding a customized solution for each client’s unique insurance needs. She was featured as a Leading Wealth Advisor in Worth Magazine in 2014. She was also a featured author in the Smart Business Journal, where she was interviewed regarding “What makes a Good Benefits Broker”.
Mary has a 1.5 year old Boxer mix puppy named Dax that is known to sport a different “dapper” bow tie everywhere he goes. Both Mary and Dax are looking forward to checking out all the amazing dog-friendly hikes in Colorado.
In her spare time, Mary is passionate about interior redesign and art. She loves looking at small spaces and transforming them into functional areas. She just recently transformed a friend’s red brick wall into a multitude of colors using a reverse white wash with only black and white paint, a piece of sand paper, and an old cloth. Mary says “she loves seeing the joy in someone’s eyes when she transforms their home to feel like a space that brings out their personality.” Mary also loves to refinish old furniture pieces and turn them into something modern, fun, and universal. She loves finding vintage pieces with endless revamp possibilities, using fabric, geometric painting, hardware, stones, etc.
When asked what is important to her, Mary said, “Kindness!” (We couldn’t agree more).
Welcome to the team, Mary! We can’t wait to see what you accomplish.
