All of our insurance companies offer Roadside Assistance coverage for as little as pennies a day. If you purchase this optional coverage you will have the security of knowing that when car trouble occurs, a tow truck will be dispatched to your location, and a service technician can help you refuel, get a jumpstart, or tow your car to a location to have the problem fixed.
While roadside assistance insurance typically won’t fix the problem, it will help you get to a mechanic, if needed, so you can get behind the wheel again much more quickly. Fast, reliable service will also keep you and your vehicle safe.
So, what does Roadside Assistance cover? This coverage typically covers:
- Running out of gas
- Flat tire
- Towing for mechanical failure
- Dead battery/Jump start
- Keys locked in car
While many of our customers may already have this coverage (some comprehensive auto insurance plans include this coverage and we offer it to every customer if they do not), you may want to take the time to see if your policy covers roadside assistance. Our office would be more than happy to assist you if you are not sure. Here are some things to also keep in mind:
- If your policy already provides roadside assistance coverage, be sure the towing allowance is generous, especially if you drive considerable distances away from home.
- Consider your need for trip interruption benefits, which reimburse you for any unused expenses you had to forfeit because your trip was cancelled, such as room or flight deposits. Most of our insurance companies offer a “Premier Roadside Assistance” program that covers items such as this.
Most likely, over the course of your driving lifetime, you’re going to experience a flat tire or a dead car battery. Give yourself the peace of mind of knowing that you’ve got the problem handled with one quick phone call. Call our office and of our staff can make sure you’ve got the coverage you want to keep you moving.
